S.U.G ELECTION NULLIFIED..... NEW ELECTION DATE FIXED




Today was a wasted one as the S.U.G elections was cancelled and postponed till this week Friday. The election was nullified due to the clashes among students of Business Administration and Marketing department. They both claimed there was a hidden agenda from both departments as the ELECO member in the faculty was a student of Business Administration. Due to this misconduct the CSO and the police were trying to regulate the elections well but the students made their efforts fruitless and they ensued in fight both in the hall and outside. At some minutes to 4:00pm, the ballot boxes were removed from the hall and moved to the Rectors office which triggered some rumors among the students that the votes will be counted, some saying it will be rigged while some were chanting (WE MUST VOTE) towards the Rector’s office. The Rector concluded that the failure of the election was as a result of the ill preparation of the Electoral committee and promised to see to the matter before the end of tomorrow.

ND II ongoing examinations and Seminar on Money in the air (4000 Chinese coins)

While the ND II exams were ongoing, lectures have also kicked off as many departments have started receiving lectures while some are affected by the ongoing exams. Exams are going on very well and students are advised against every form of malpractice even as some were still caught in the act and the school has taken punishment measures on the culprit. Also there was a seminar held in the campus on Leadership and entrepreneurship, digital business, Chinese digital currency, etc anchored by a popular public speaker Emeka Asogwa, an aid to the Governor of Enugu State on youth affairs.
